Single Review: LoveButter – ‘Nothing’

LoveButter: Oliver Kelly (bass), Tom Macdonald Clapp (guitar), Bobby Palumbo (vocals & guitar), Faron Evans (drums)

Anyone who has seen LoveButter live will understand why this band from Bristol have earned themselves a reputation for being wonderfully good fun. The band are already well-loved for their punchy, danceable guitar music, having picked up a cult-like inner circle of fans since their formation at university. Their music is brash, flamboyant and playful in equal measure, with roaring choruses, full-fat riffs and flashy guitar solos for everyone to enjoy.

LoveButter’s debut single Nothing is a welcome breath of fresh air, bristling with fiery energy and a distinct cheekiness. Where many musicians might address the theme of twenty-something ennui with the introspective or the edgy, LoveButter have taken these feelings and created a masterclass in good, old-fashioned rock and roll.
